Iphone 13 pro and Iphone 13 pro max have 120Hz AMOLED screen

We've have been hearing the fact that iphones are going 120Hz this year from a while now, and now a new report from korea basially confirms that, while adding some new info

only the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 pro Max are said to get the new LPTO Amoled screens with 120Hz refresh rates, and these will be made exclusively by Samsung Display.

iPhone 13 Pro display component coming from Samsung

Korea's The Elec website has confirmed that Samsung's display wing called Samsung Display will supply the 120Hz LTPO AMOLED displays to Apple. In addition to this, Samsung Electro-Mechanics will also reportedly provide rigid-flexible printed circuit boards called RFPCBs. RFPCBs are used to connect OLED panels to the motherboard.

Highlights:

  • The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will reportedly feature 120Hz ProMotion displays.
  • The component required to enable up to 120Hz refresh rate could be sourced from Samsung.
  • The standard iPhone 13 variant will not feature the ProMotion display.

169 million iPhones in the works

Samsung Display will apparently supply 110 million displays for iPhones this year, with another 50 million from LG Display and 9 million from BOE - the latter two are presumably only supplying 60Hz screens for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini.
